Since April Media Productions was founded in 1994, we have recorded hundreds of bands, musicians and singers covering a wide range of styles and genres from Opera to Jazz, Death Metal to Rap. In fact our studio was born from a passion of recording bands and acoustic instruments which makes us a great choice for recording your band demo.

Things have changed considerably over the past few years with recording technology so much more accessible and affordable to everyone and offering many more possibilities of not only the sounds recorded by the musicians, but how it can be manipulated and edited. This means that if you are a good band, we can make you sound fantastic !

We currently use the latest version of Logic Studio on the Mac as our chosen recording platform as we know that many of our customers and producers also have access to it and so projects can easily be interchanged and thus recorded, edited and mixed by anyone who has this system, which is great for any bands on a budget or with their own nominated in-band producer!

Oh yes you will ! - we have a superb studio which is clean, has a relaxing atmosphere and we've also got some top equipment with plenty of knobs, buttons and dials to gaze upon. Most importantly, we've got some great engineers who are friendly, enthusiastic, dedicated and know their stuff, and will get the best out of your session, giving you as much or as little feedback and production input as you would like them to. We promise that you'll enjoy working with them, and hopefully remember your experience for years to come, with your recording also standing the test of time.

Our commitment to local musicians
There is absolutely no substitute for using a professional studio and most importantly an experienced engineer, but we are also aware of budget restraints with many bands. That's why we offer discounted "lockout"rates to local musicians at selected times - see the local band section on our rates page for more information.
